Register now for DDos Mitigation workshop

22 September 2015 | Amsterdam, Netherlands

Registration is open for the 'DDoS Mitigation in the NREN Environment' workshop, which will be held between 10-11 November 2015 in Vienna, hosted by the University of Vienna and at the invitation of ACOnet, the Austrian national research and education network (NREN) organisation.

The workshop will be a unique exercise, as it’s the result of the joint forces of two task forces and two SIGs (Special Interest Groups). TF-CSIRT, TF-MSP, SIG-ISM and SIG-NOC invite all their respective community members who are interested in DDoS mitigation to attend this workshop and to bring their own experience to the table.

The agenda is still under construction, but the main aims of the workshop are known:

  • to provide a general overview of current DDoS mitigation solutions;
  • to collect available solution know-how and experience from and for NRENs and GÉANT;
  • to identify 'federated mechanisms' and solutions particularly well suited for and within the NREN / GÉANT community.

The workshop will be held back-to-back with the ninth SIG-NOC (previously TF-NOC) meeting, which will be held on 9 November. The focus of this meeting will be on preparing a new NOC tool survey and to discuss the development of a training programme in the same fashion like TRANSITS.
