The Integrated Services Framework (ISF) proposes a set of generic, fundamental service classes that are needed in the emerging network ecosystem and defines a common service model that allows such services to invoke one another and to build incrementally more complex services. It incorporates work carried out in GN4-2 JRA2 Network Services Development Tasks 1–4. This deliverable outlines the principles underlying the ISF and the roadmaps for each of the Tasks involved.

D5.7 Continuous Service Improvement Best Practices
This document integrates the experiences from the optimisation and improvements of Trust & Identity and Multi-Domain Services Service Activity (SA2) services and describes the general approach to Continual Service Improvement (CSI) that has been adopted, tested and refined in practice by the Production Optimisation Task (Task 4). It presents the approaches and tools developed, and provides recommendations for CSI in further work.

D8.12 Distributed Denial of Service Mitigation v1.0 Pilot Follow-up
This document describes the pilot results of the Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) detection and mitigation tool that is developed within Network Services Development Joint Research Activity (JRA2) Network Security Task (Task 6). The previous Deliverable D8.3 presented the DDoS detection and mitigation architecture that includes Firewall on Demand (FoD), Network Security Handling and Response Process (NSHaRP) and Reputation Shield (RepShield), and explained the DDoS detection and mitigation pilot. This document presents the pilot results and the next steps.

D9.4 Evaluation of Certificate Provisioning Pilot
This deliverable outlines investigations into improving the scalability and efficiency of certificate provisioning for server-to-server transport protection (RADIUS/TLS) in eduroam, currently supported by eduPKI. Approaches to adopting the principles of ‘LetsEncrypt’ to streamline this process, under the concept name ‘LetsRadsec’, are evaluated, and the results of the tests carried out are discussed.

D7.3 Overview of SDN Pilots: Description and Findings Part B
This document reports on SDN technology pilots utilising an infrastructure deployed across the GÉANT backbone in parallel to the infrastructure carrying production traffic. Technology pilots aim to verify the functionality and stability of novel, integrated software and hardware modules in a holistic way in an out-of-the-lab environment, while at the same time assessing the operational readiness of the SDN solutions. This deliverable updates deliverable D7.1 Overview of SDN Pilots Description and Findings Part A, and should be read as a standalone overview of pilot findings for all SDN use cases.
D3.7 Requirements Commentary on GÉANT Services
A service requirements analysis to improve understanding of how and where users will be working in five years’ time and details what GÉANT will need to be doing in order to meet their expectations.
This document reports on the service validations and transitions to SA2 production performed by SA2 T1 in GN4-2 from May 2016 to March 2018. The validation and test process, including the test strategy is presented. An overview of the service, test phases, test team composition and scope of the testing is provided for each transition and validation completed during the reporting period.

This deliverable presents the results and analysis of the sixth NREN Satisfaction Survey conducted in January and February 2018, covering the GÉANT organisation, the GN4-2 project, the GÉANT network and network operations, the GÉANT service portfolio, GÉANT collaboration and community activities, and the GÉANT Compendium. The survey objectives were to assess satisfaction with GÉANT’s activities; assess the importance of and satisfaction with specific aspects, products and services; help GÉANT better understand the community’s needs; and determine how and where to focus future efforts.
