Gathering information on our planet's physical, chemical and biological systems.

The Earth is changing rapidly. The atmosphere, oceans and landscapes require a new level of understanding to help us make informed decisions about natural hazards, energy, climate, health and other societal challenges. But analysing data from thousands of air, water and meteorological sensors is data-intensive work. The GÉANT community provides the high-bandwidth network scientists and researchers need to collaborate and study the Earth’s systems.
