TNC17 early bird registration now open

GÉANT invites you to register now to benefit from the early bird discount on the participation fee of TNC17. The €200 discount is available until midnight CET on 28 February 2017, meaning that early registration will cost €600 instead of €800 (excluding VAT).

“The Art of Creative Networking” is the theme of TNC17, the largest networking conference for research and education. TNC17 will be held in Linz between 29 May and 2 June and hosted by the Austrian Academic Computer Network (ACOnet), the Austrian National research and education network (NREN) for science, research, education, and culture.
The 2017 edition of the highly successful event will focus not only on the latest (networking) technology, but will also put the spotlight on the people from the worldwide research and education networking community who make innovation possible. Confirmed keynote speakers this year are:

How to participate
The initial call for proposals - for presentations and session topics - has now closed, but there are still many opportunities to actively contribute to TNC17.
Meeting proposals - Deadline 15 January 2017
To cater to a growing demand from the community, at TNC17 more opportunities will be created to organise working groups, BoFs, meetings and workshops. Places can be reserved for Monday, 29 June June and Friday, 2 June. You can submit meeting proposals at

Lightning talks - Deadline 17 April 2017
The call for lightning talks will open on 1 February and will run until 17 April 2017, midnight CET. Lightning talks are 5 minute talks, in which a hot topic is quickly addressed.

Featuring a poster at TNC will serve as an excellent advertisement for your work. The call for posters will open on 1 February. The deadline for poster proposals is 17 April 2017, midnight CET.
