TF-MSP workshop on acceptable use and connection policies
26 October 2015 | Amsterdam, Netherlands
Registration is open for a workshop about Acceptable Use Policies (AUPs) and Connection Policies (CPs) among national research and education networking organisations (NRENs). The Task Force on Management of Service Portfolios (TF-MSP) is organising the workshop, which will be hosted by DFN in Berlin on 11-12 January 2016.
The main aim of the event is for informed community discussion and debate to take place and for concrete recommendations to be reached. Registration is open to all NREN staff, managers and decision makers.
The idea for the workshop arose during the TF-MSP September 2015 meeting, where NREN AUPs and CPs were explored. Participants heard that there is a wide variety in length, level of detail, and degree of restrictiveness of AUPs and CPs among the NRENs, and questions were raised about whether these should be harmonised in some way, or whether they are even needed. Participants agreed that wider community discussion is required.
The workshop agenda and logistical information will be posted on the workshop webpage. In the meantime ideas, contributions and offers of presentations should be sent to TF-MSP secretary John Dyer.
Register via EventR.
