GÉANT is pleased to announce that Cathrin Stöver has been confirmed in her role as Chief Collaboration Officer and member of the GÉANT Executive team.
For many years, Cathrin has been well known in the global R&E networking community for her tireless work with international partners and as project manager for regional development projects, such as the AfricaConnect project which led to the UbuntuNet network, and the ALICE project which created RedCLARA. She has also always been a highly active player in the European GÉANT project, with roles as Activity Leader as well as coordinator of the project´s networking activities.
In her new role, Cathrin takes on the overall responsibility for GÉANT’s Marketing and Communications Team, as well as the Partner Relations and Business Development Teams. She will of course also remain responsible for GÉANT’s global partner relations and will continue to be actively involved in the implementation of the AfricaConnect2 project.
Cathrin comments: “When I look back over my time in GÉANT, I see myself learning, and increasingly contributing to the organisation and GÉANT´s European and global community. The CCO role offers new challenges to me and I look forward to continue making an impact in the world of R&E networking as well as being a member of the new GÉANT Exec team, thus contributing to the transformation of GÉANT into an organisation fit to tackle the challenges ahead.”
Cathrin is currently based in Madrid, but will be relocating to GÉANT´s Amsterdam office in June 2017.
