Bram Peeters joins GÉANT Executive Team
We are delighted to announce Bram Peeters has joined the GÉANT Executive team as Chief Network Operations Officer. Bram will be responsible for all network operations and will lead on the GÉANT (GN4-2) Project’s Network Infrastructure and Services Operations Activity (SA1). Bram joins us most recently from Nokia where he project managed the delivery of new technology solutions to Nokia customers. However Bram is best known to the GÉANT community for his 10+ years at SURFnet, where he joined as a Network Expert, developing the SURFnet network and services. Bram quickly rose to Head of Network Services, where his team was responsible for the exploitation and innovation of SURFnet’s network services, from the fibre network up to the routed network.
Bram adds, “I’ve always cared particularly about services that are relevant and make a real difference to the research and education communities, and I look forward to continuing that approach with GÉANT.”
We would like to take this opportunity to also thank Shaun Cairns, who held the role of interim Chief Operations Officer during the recruitment period, and wish him well in his new role as Chief Development Officer for GÉANT.
