​​GÉANT at the 2015 Internet2 Technology Exchange

On 4 to 7 October, the 2015 Internet2 Technology Exchange will take place in Cleveland, Ohio. Members of the GÉANT team will be leading eight sessions, in which the research and education community will discover the latest in networking innovation from Europe’s leading collaboration on e-infrastructure and services for research and education.

  

The Technology Exchange attracts technology leaders and visionaries from across the U.S. and globally. Pioneers, technologists, architects, scientists, operators and students convene to share their expertise in: networking, security, trust & identity, virtualisation, cloud services, high-performance computing and storage.

  

This year’s event is themed: Envision. Collaborate. Innovate. It aims to advance the state of the art, forge new connections, and redefine the future of R&E.

  

GÉANT will also be participating strongly in the ACamp discussions. Here substantial time will be dedicated to the exploration and discussion of topics around identity services.

  

The GÉANT sessions will cover topics such as:

  • Stimulating innovation with impact - the GÉANT Open Call programme.
  • Implementing security at terabit speed - Defending the GÉANT network against denial of service.
  • VAMPIRE - Virtual Organisation Authorisation Management Practices in Research and Education.
  • Security Incident and Assurance in FIM.
